On Friday, about two hours into the Snopocalypse, B announces he’s going to Best Buy to purchase new speakers.
Me: You’re crazy!
B: Why? How is this different from your new laptop?? (I, um, may have just purchased a new Macbook Pro. *makes love to it*)
Me: Because I didn’t GO OUT IN A BLIZZARD to get it! It’s #snOMG outside!!!
B: And we have to be prepared! You want to watch Legend of the Seeker WITHOUT surround sound?! What’s wrong with you??

Though I am in impassioned lust with the Mac, I have yet to learn how to do everything I need to with it, and sometimes still bust out the PC… at the same time. So, yes, I will be sitting on the couch working on two laptops. Apparently, this looks odd, and inspires this to happen…
B: Ooooooo, going into stockbroker mode! Stockbroker comin’ through, watch out!!!
Me: You know that makes no sense, right? What does stockbroking have to do with multiple computers?
B: Stockbroker’s gonna buy some stocks. Maybe some bonds!
Five minutes later…
B: How are the stocks going? You get some GM??
I put one away…
B: All done with the stocks? You get the stocks you wanted?
Murray paws at the closed laptop.
B: Look at Murray! He wants to be a stockbroker too!!!

A Taylor Swift music video comes on- uh, one of the cats must have stepped on the remote, we would never watch that- and she’s wearing a rather low-cut dress, which prompts B to make some sort of noise of approval.
Me: Um. You know she’s, like, 15, right?
B: What? She’s not really 15, is she?
Me: Well, I think she just turned 16.
B: Really? Well, lock me up.
Me: *judgmental glance*
B: What! I didn’t know! … Don’t pretend like you wouldn’t do her! I’m just trying to protect her from Kanye. Look how slutty her dress is! Her father should be ashamed.
Me: I dunno. I think it’s kind of sweet and romantic.
B: It’s down to her belly button!
Me: But she’s got nothing to show.
B: True… since she’s FIFTEEN and all. Dammit!!
Okay, I just googled it and she’s actually TWENTY. The hell??? When did that happen? Holy crap I’m getting old.

Hahahaha! I broke off my long time relationship with PC about 2 months ago for my Mac Book Pro. PC and I had our ups and downs, it was tumultuous relationship…but my love for Mac was too strong. I had some pangs of regret as they swiped my credit card at Best Buy, “What will PC think when I bring Mac Book Pro home with me?” “Will PC and I ever be able to be friends, or will it be just completely awkward every time we happen to bump into each other?” “What if PC gets a new, cuter, user?” “Whatever, my Mac Book Pro is HOT!”
I thought it would take more time getting used to it, being that I’ve been a PC user for.. oh, I dunno, 17 years? But it came quicker than I expected – in about a week I was used to it. It’s so much simpler. Why I didn’t do this sooner, I’ll never know. I suppose PC and I were in a co-dependent relationship, and I had a hard time letting go of that… but I’m much happier now!

It never ceases to amaze me how guys are willing to risk life and limb for something as insignifant as a speaker. I would never be able to tell the difference in sound quality, but then again I’ve downgraded from a giant high-def blu ray yada yada to a small rectangular 10-year-old television that suits me just fine. Meh.

My kids all watch Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, etc. I can’t believe how their music videos make them look a lot older and acting a lot older than they are….Then Disney goes back to an interview with them acting and looking like their ages….giggly school teenagers.
Taylar Swift just looks exactly the same as she did at 15. Plus she was dating a 17 year old. weird.

Actually S just got me into it. I’ve only seen 2 episodes so I’m pretty much “who’s he?”, “what’s a confessor?” “why does he sound like Yoda?” and stuff but he digs that I’m watching it with him.
I do the laptop next to the desktop thing all the time. Then I frustrate the heck outta myself when I type and nothing happens on the screen…then I realize I’m typing on the wrong keyboard.
