Someecard Sunday

by LiLu on March 1, 2009

in don't bother me until i've had my first laugh in the morning, funnies

Last week, my dear friend cavy started something called Someecard Sunday, wherein she plans to post a someecard every Sunday that describes on some level her feelings on that particular day. I thought this was a fabulous idea and quickly decided to join her. At least sporatically.

So, thanks to the pitcher and a half of beer I ingested last night, please enjoy my first installment:

Love it. (And I totally would.)

As an aside, I’m trying to figure out this whole “Followers” thing. (A little down and to the right… there it is! Don’t be scared, be my friend.) For privacy reasons, I’m using an OpenId instead of directly from my blog, which means that if you don’t have the option to “Follow” you on your actual page, I don’t know how to do it. Help?

(And yes, this post was just a little bit to cover up the Weekend Dose of Fugly from yesterday. Too many newbies came by and um, let’s just say I don’t think that’s the BEST first impression they could get. Representative? Perhaps. Ideal? Notsomuch.)

Duly followed…
xo

I thought I was already following you because I had put you in my blog roll but I guess not. I am now!

I love this idea! Maybe I’ll have to steal it and do it on my sidebar like PostSecret. And not give you any credit, of course. ;)

4 fiona March 1, 2009 at 5:42 pm

following…as always!

Great post idea! Only a pitcher-and-a-half? ;)

I’m following you now…and thanks for clearing up the question I had as to why sometimes I follow with the Princess Nagger mug (like in this comment), and sometimes it follows with my mug (like in your followers thing) – it’s that whole ‘OpenID’ thing I think! At least I can rest assured I’m not going crazy…yet! ;)

I prefer my following of women to be more clandestine. That, or I’ve ridiculously decided that whole mess is too newfangled for me to join in.

Also, there is no food yet invented that tops a burrito for either taste or humpability.

You make me wonder how it feels like to make love with mac and cheese.

LMAO

I don’t know how to do the whole following thing. Plus, I’m old.

I love someecards as they regularly make an appearance on my blog. I’ll follow.

But does this mean that the burrito must be prepared to your perfect flavor, or to your perfect shape? There are too many possibilities!

Those Someecards are strange… they do not even need words. I get mesmerized by the odd line drawings.

I do not get the blogger/follower thing either. It appears to be a precursor to a Facebook ‘friends’ type thingy.. we’ll see where it grows.

Princess OTU: Likewise, lover.

blueviolet: Yeah, I don’t think the reader does it. Still figuring it out…

Kristina P: You hooker! I forgive you. The sidebar’s not a bad idea, though.

fiona: XOXO, my love.

Stacy (TRCC): Well. And a lot of vodka. But who’s counting?

pistols: You are so, so right.

insomniaclolita: You know what? I bet it’s GREAT. Especially Velveeta…

Kate: Me either. Me too.

-jd: Thanks, love. Someecards seriously rock.

tara: In a perfect world… BOTH. Boo yah!

Connie: Yeah, I save FB for “IRL” friends, generally. There are just way too many incriminating pics on there ;-)

I was wondering the same thing about the Followers thang. Also, I really enjoyed the masturbating cat video…I really…and I mean REALLY needed to laugh out loud. Thanks for being you/sharing the awesomeness that is a masturbating cat complete with perfect mood-music! :-)

17 cavy March 2, 2009 at 4:51 am

wahoo! the trend is catching on :)

Following: check!

19 Muppet Soul March 2, 2009 at 7:02 am

Umm, yesterday’s entry was an AWESOME impression.

And I, too, am oddly sexually attracted to burritos.

Is that so wrong?

20 Woolly March 2, 2009 at 12:21 pm

hangovers are a great thing….
actually… not so much but they do give me the motivation to sit on the couch all day and not feel guilty about it.

21 nothingfancy1 March 2, 2009 at 2:12 pm

Funny stuff!

Hey are you snowed in today?

22 LiLu March 2, 2009 at 2:32 pm

Hannah: Thanks sweets! You’re too wonderful.

beatrix: Even if it was steak??

Jen: I tried to comment on your blog, but it’s not working? Anyhoo, glad to make your Sunday ;-)

alexa: I love you for that comment.

cavy: It’s a good one.

SMB: Yay! Likewise, my love.

Muppet Soul: If sexin’ a burrito is wrong, chica, I don’t want to be right.

Woolly: See Exhibit A: Exactly what I’m doing today.

nothingfancy: Unbelievably, they didn’t cancel. So I took a sick day. WIN.

23 briankainec.com March 2, 2009 at 2:33 pm

The only thing better than a Chipotle burrito for hangovers is a nice steaming bowl of Pho.

Maybe next time I’m hungover I’ll get a burrito and a bowl of Pho. There’s a small chance such a combination could cause me to develop super powers…

24 Matt March 2, 2009 at 2:38 pm

Making love to a burrito may be ok for a girl.

notsomuch for a guy.

25 K @ Blog Goggles March 2, 2009 at 3:01 pm

As long as the burrito doesn’t have too many chilis, I’m in.

Your blog is f’ing hilarious, by the way. I’m now addicted.

26 justjp March 2, 2009 at 3:15 pm

F- the apple pie, I am going for the burrito!

27 LiLu March 2, 2009 at 4:41 pm

briankainec: I’ve never had a bowl of Pho, steaming or otherwise. I’ll get on that.

Matt: I have no response to this that is blog appropriate.

K @ Blog Goggles: How did you know that’s my favorite sentence? ;-)

justjp: Spicy!

28 Rox March 2, 2009 at 8:10 pm

Rad idea, I want to try that too!!!
